Watch: How is splatter vinyl made?

A step-by-step look at the pressing of splatter vinyl.

With vinyl sales continuing to increase, listeners are seeking new aesthetic experiences from experimental records to variants of almost any colour.

One such aesthetic alternative to traditional black vinyl is splatter vinyl, an option where different colour pellets are mixed during the pressing process, resulting in an often multi-coloured, unique visual expression for the music contained.

We took a trip to The Vinyl Factory pressing plant in Hayes to learn exactly how splatter vinyl is created.

Watch the video below and see how the magic is made.
