Goldie represses Timeless at The Vinyl Factory for new VF release
One of the greatest dance records of all time returns.
To celebrate three decades of Timeless—one of the most iconic records in UK dance music history— Goldie releases a limited edition double LP of Timeless via The Vinyl Factory in collaboration with London Records on August 7.
Featuring a pair of 180g splatter-effect records – with a blend of colours selected by Goldie himself – only 500 copies of the reissue will be made available, each one hand-pressed, hand-numbered, and hand-stamped.
Often described as one of the greatest dance music albums of all time, Timeless helped to shape the sound of drum and bass and is still deeply influential three decades later.
On a recent visit to The Vinyl Factory, Goldie and longtime friend and fellow Metalheadz legend Grooverider, took part in the record pressing process itself, guiding splatter vinyl creation from start to finish. The day turned into a full-blown celebration, with Jamaican food from Mr Roy, courtesy of Goldie, and feeding the entire factory staff. Check out the full photos from the day below.
