The world’s best record shops

Collected on one map.

Every week we profile one record shop from around the world that we believe you should visit. Whether it’s in your home town, somewhere you’re heading soon, or a spot squirrelled away on the ‘to-do list’ of life, think of these shops as a sort of 1,000 places to visit before you die.

And the shops themselves? Well, they’ve been selected for their importance in local and international music communities, their unique identities or histories, and of course the fact that they consistently offer an incredible selection of records. In other words, the best.

While you can see these shops listed here, we’ve compiled the whole lot into a single, ever-expanding map. And unlike other record shop maps, every spot featured here has been selected for a reason.

The map will be updated on a weekly basis. Explore it above and click through each shop to find out more. Got a recommendation? Let us know in the comments.
