Behind The Counter: If Music pick their 10 best records of the summer

Behind The Counter is a series of films in which our favourite record shops run down their top vinyl releases of the week, and with summer all but over we thought we’d ask Jean-Claude Thompson at London’s If Music put together a very special list, looking back at 10 of this summer’s biggest records.

More of an “On The Couch” than “Behind the Counter”, we visited If Music’s central London hideaway to hear Jean-Claude preview Four Tet’s new 12″ and vouch for the divisive Robin Thicke on vinyl. Check out the rest of his selections below:

* Four Tet – Kool FM (Text Records)

* Michael Garrick Sextet – Prelude to Heart Is A Lotus (Gearbox)

* Dominick Martin – Valentia (Signature)

* Floating Points – Wires (Eglo)

* Fat Freddy’s Drop – Black Bird (The Drop)
