The Specialist: The Heatwave on dancehall 7″s

Gabriel Heatwave breaks down his exclusive dancehall mix.

The Specialist is a short film series profiling record collectors through one aspect of their collection that’s particularly important to them.

For this episode, we’re at home with Gabriel, one half of UK sound system and DJ duo, The Heatwave, for our first ever “Specialist Mix”. Breaking it down track-by-track, from a dubbed-out Neighbours theme tune re-work to a Vybz Kartel x Celine Dion flip, Gabriel goes deep into his collection, digging for dancehall and joining the dots between the London and Jamaican sounds.
