New vinyl listening bar has opened in East London
Complete with Martin Hannett’s old Tannoy Gold soundsystem.
Following on from its summer terrace residency at Oval Space, Behind This Wall has opened a bar in Hackney with a Joy Division-approved sound-system.
The spot, which was previously a luminous pink Turkish Social club, took six months to design and build. The team have installed Martin Hannett’s glorious 1970s Tannoy Gold sound-system, a rotary mixer and a Technics turntable. Sometimes one is all you need.
