Bob Dylan’s handwritten lyrics for three classic songs are up for auction
But they don’t come cheap.
Bob Dylan’s handwritten lyrics for ‘The Times They Are A-Changin’’, ‘Lay Lady Lay’ and ‘Subterranean Homesick Blues’ have been put up for auction, via memorabilia company Moments in Time.
The lyric sheets feature crossed out verses, annotations and instrumental notes.
‘The Times They Are A-Changin’’ is currently listed at £1.8m, ‘Subterranean Homesick Blues’ at £961,000, whilst ‘Lay Lady Lay’ comes in at £520,000.
The auction follows Dylan recently releasing two tracks – titled ‘Murder Most Foul’ and ‘I contain Multitudes’ – marking his first new original material in eight years.
