You can now create your own Joy Division Unknown Pleasures cover

Get giffing.

Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures has one of the most iconic record sleeves of all time. Designed by Factory Records man Peter Saville, the black-and-white visualisation of pulsar data (radio waves emitted by a pulsar star), has since spawned a life of its own, endlessly re-created and re-produced by fans on t-shirts, tattoos and just about anything you can imagine.

Now, Garrett Finucane has written a little online generator that allows you to make your own variations on the design and gif them.

Have a go at making your own Unknown Pleasures cover here and check out our humble effort below. [via Boing Boing]
