Watch next: A 30-minute workshop on the history of sampling

It follows Turntable Lab’s 2017 reissue of Eric B. and Rakim’s seminal debut Paid In Full, which pioneered sample use in hip-hop.

The Complete Collection 1987-1992 includes all four of their studio albums – Paid In Full, Follow The Leader, Let The Rhythm Hit ‘Em, and Don’t Sweat The Technique, a deluxe booklet, original album liner notes, and a 2xCD set with rare remixes from 1986-1992.

Pre-order a copy of the box set here ahead of its 13th July release, watch Eric B. and Rakim performing ‘Paid in Full’ live on Yo! MTV Raps in 1987 and check out the track lists below.
