Gorrilaz, Paramore and Depeche Mode all feature in the top 10 albums.

Lana Del Rey’s Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd is the best-selling vinyl release of the year so far in the UK, according to the Official Charts Company.

Del Rey’s ninth studio album has sold 20,800 vinyl copies this year, while first-week sales were her strongest since Ultraviolence back in 2014.

Behind Del Rey, Gorillaz’s Cracker Island take second place and St. Jude by The Courteeners is in third. Taylor Swift’s 2022 release Midnights and new albums from Paramore and Depeche Mode fill the rest of the list out. The usual suspects are also present with Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side Of The Moon and Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours both in the top 10.

Within the top 40 vinyl releases this year, 21 are new releases, marking an increasing move away from back catalogue reissues.

New Order dominates the top 10 vinyl singles of the year, following a reissue of 1985’s Low-Life; “The Perfect Kiss” takes first place while “Sub-Culture” and “Shell Shock” are in fifth and sixth position. New Order’s behemoth anthem, “Blue Monday”, also features.

Elsewhere the top 10 includes Inhaler, Ghost and Lewis Capaldi. Frightened Rabbit hold three slots in the top 20 thanks to a 10th-anniversary reissue of Pedestrian Verse.
