There’s a new label on the block.

South London vinyl hub YAM Records will continue its support of local talent with a 12″ from New Zealand-via-Peckham producers Louis and Ben Helliker-Hales bka Chaos In The CBD.

The Auckland duo had an international breakthrough year in 2015 after dropping a clutch of wide-ranging house EPs on Church, Rhythm Section International and Amadeus Records.

Their YAM 001 12″ kicks off with ‘Global Erosion’ on the A-side, which features Isaac Aesili on horn and live percussion duties. On the flip is ‘Background Explorer’, an eight-minute heads-down joint which circles around heavy percussion, soft pads and distant rainforest calls.
