Pioneer DJ unveils new USB-powered battle mixer
The DJM-S5 is the first of the company’s mixers to be powered via USB.
Pioneer DJ is releasing its first USB-powered battle mixer, called the DJM-S5.

Building on the brand’s flagship DJM-S11 model, the DJM-S5 features a new ‘Scratch Cutter’ feature, and Crossfader Hot Cue, which lets users create scratch-like sounds by moving the crossfader.
It features eight performance pads and two effect levers, which can control up to 57 different effects in Serato DJ Pro.
The DJM-S5 marks the first-ever Pioneer DJ that can be powered via USB connection to a computer.
Weighing in at 3.4 kg, it measures 9.65″ x 14.31″ x 4.25″.
