In honour of its 40th anniversary, Roy Ayers Ubiquity’s Lifeline is being reissued by Polydor on 18 August 2017.

Featuring slow-rolling disco stomper ‘Running Away’ and extreme xylophone boogie-down ‘Cincinatti Growl’, alongside cameos from jazz chanteuse Dee Dee Bridgewater and funky ivory tickler Edwin L.Birdsong, the 1977 LP occupied the Billboard music charts for a whopping twenty-five weeks when it was released.
