Soul Jazz to release lost recordings by French mutant synth duo KaS Product

For fans of Suicide and Soft Cell.

Soul Jazz has announced Black & Noir, a pack of lost recordings by overlooked French electronic duo KaS Product. Last year, the duo appeared on the London label’s collection Punk 45 – Les Punks: The French Connection.

“Mainly recorded on early tape, synth and drum machines Kas Productʼs mixture of Spatszʼ hypnotic, electronic and angular hard-edged beats matched to the spiky vocals and guitar of Mona Soyoc have led to comparisons with Suicide, Liliput / Kleenex, Cabaret Voltaire as well as to the group being forerunners of the cold wave / synth wave movement,” explains Soul Jazz.

The collection of eleven tracks were all originally recorded between 1980 and 1983 and released on local label Punk Records. Find the tracklist below.

Black & Noir will be released on limited vinyl, CD and digital on 17 February.
