Take a look inside the British Library’s underground vinyl vault

With a neighbourhood vinyl lending-library opening in London next week, Noisey’s Short Film About Vinyl heads into the archival mothership in the basement of the British Library.

The third part of Noisey & Philips’ film series You Need To Hear This, following segments on latterly forgotten media “Cassettes” and “Radio”, the film sees BBC radio 6 DJ Tom Ravenscroft explore the cavernous vinyl archive below the British Library and hang out in Soho at Record Store Day earlier this year, while also catching up with Gilles Peterson prodigy and part-time Sounds Of The Universe employee DJ Thristian Richards.
