Taylor Swift’s Midnights breaks UK and US vinyl sales records
Midnights has swiftly topped the vinyl charts.
Taylor Swift’s tenth studio album, Midnights, has broken vinyl sales records in both the UK and US.
With 61,948 vinyl sales in the UK after its first week, Midnights has already beaten the year’s previous biggest vinyl seller, Harry Styles’ Harry’s House. In the US, Swift has broken the all-time record for single-week vinyl sales after shifting 575,000 vinyl copies of Midnights since its release.
Swift’s record sales may have been boosted, in part, because of the availability of, and encouragement to collect, different variants of the album.
