“Hey Jude, don’t make it bad, take a sad song and make it better…”

Fourty-six of the The Beatles’ hit singles have been collected in a new 23×7″ box set, titled The Singles Collection, released this November via Apple / EMI.

Between 1962 and 1970, The Beatles released 22 hit singles, including ‘Hey Jude’ and ‘Yellow Submarine’. Apple/EMI have collected the A and B sides to form the 46-track box set. Twenty-nine of the tracks featured were never included in The Beatles’ original studio albums.

Also included is 1995’s ‘Free As A Bird’ and 1996’s ‘Real Love’, the only new singles recorded after their 1970 split. The tracks were produced when when Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr regrouped to finish the demos John Lennon left incomplete.

Presented in their original 7″ format, the songs have been remastered by Sean Magee from their original mono and stereo tapes at Abbey Road Studios. The box set includes a 40-page booklet with photographs and detailed essays from Beatles historian Kevin Howlett.
