The Official Chart Company have shared the final vinyl sales charts for 2022.

In 2022, 5.5 million records were sold, the highest figure since 1990 when Phill Collins’ …But Seriously was the year’s biggest seller.

The album chart was dominated by Taylor Swift’s huge vinyl release Midnights while British artists including Harry Styles, Arctic Monkeys, Liam Gallagher, Wet Leg and The 1975 feature in the top 10.

The reissue of Sex Pistols’ “God Save The Queen” grabs the top vinyl single spot and is followed by Swift’s special National Album Day release “The Lakes”.
