Over more than a decade of collaboration, 180 Studios and The Vinyl Factory have developed an ongoing creative partnership with Ryoji Ikeda — one that continually expands the scale and ambition of a shared curiosity towards sound and light.
That ongoing exchange continued with the opening of data-cosm [n°1], a new, monumental installation commissioned and produced by 180 Studios - a “total sensory experience" that functions as both a microscope and a cosmos: a space where human perception meets the mathematical fabric of nature.
On the afternoon of the world premiere of data-cosm [n°1] on October 13, 2025, a crowd gathered at 180 Studios for a conversation between Ryoji, Philippe Vergne, Director of the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art, and Sean Bidder, Creative Director of The Vinyl Factory and curator at 180 Studios.
This unique booklet captures that conversation and offers a glimpse into the mind of one of the most uncompromising artists working today.

Dispatch Times:
- Express/Standard orders placed before 11am ship the same day.
- Global Mail Plus orders ship 1–2 times per week.
- Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to global shipping conditions.
You have the right to cancel and return your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, as long as the item is still sealed, unused and in the same condition as it was delivered. Upon requesting a cancellation, you must return the product by post within 14 days. Customers are responsible for the cost and arrangement of the return shipping. Returns from overseas must be sent DDP (Delivery Duty Paid). Once the returned goods are received and confirmed by The Vinyl Factory, you will receive a refund for the goods value within 14 days, using the payment method selected at the point of purchase.
If you receive a faulty or damaged item, please contact us at customerservice@thevinylfactory.com and include photographic evidence in your email. If your parcel is declared lost by the shipping courier, we will dispatch a replacement to you as quickly as possible. If we are unable to provide a suitable replacement, we will instead offer you a full refund for the goods and shipping costs.
