Seven labels added to the line-up for Glasgow’s debut Independent Label Market.

Presented by The Vinyl Factory, the first ever Glasgow instalment of the hugely popular Independent Label Market is set to welcome London and Paris based imprint Because Music to its line-up.

Manning a stall alongside Erol Alkan’s offshoot Phatasy Sound, Because are among seven labels added to the initial line-up announced last month, with Electric Music Company, Mini 50, Twin City, Number4Door and Insularis Records joining the likes of Optimo Music, Numbers and Chemikal Underground for a day of market style trading on 12th October.

A unique opportunity for label heads to sell their newest releases, limited editions and merchandise directly to the public, Independent Label Market will also welcome gourmet food stalls hosted by Smoak and Fire In Babylon with more to be announced, as well as live DJ sets from a broad range of artists represented by the labels on show, from pioneers of Glasgow’s electronic underground Numbers and Optimo Music’s JD Twitch to much-loved local acts Belle and Sebastian and Edwyn Collins.
