John Carpenter releases Lost Themes II on purple and white vinyl

The Horror Master returns.

John Carpenter will release the sequel to his debut album Lost Themes on April 15 via Sacred Bones. With a digital version up for pre-order, you can snag a copy of Lost Themes II on purple and white swirl coloured vinyl direct from soundtrack specialists Transmission, with very limited quantities available in the UK.

Complete in double quick time, perhaps harking back to Carpenter’s method on notorious low-budget films at the start of his career, the musical world of Lost Themes II is described as a “wider one than that of its predecessor. More electric and acoustic guitar help flesh out the songs, still driven by Carpenter’s trademark minimal synth.” [via FACT]
