
VF releases Gener8ion's Neo Surf on exclusive extended vinyl
Composed by Surkin and featuring 070 Shake.
Gener8ion, the audiovisual project of filmmaker Romain Gavras and musician Surkin, have released an exclusive vinyl edition of Neo Surf, the extended soundtrack to their current exhibition at 180 Studios.
Pressed on 180-gram heavyweight black vinyl and limited to 500 copies worldwide, the release captures the 19-minute extended version of Neo Surf composed by Surkin and featuring 070 Shake. The colour outer sleeve features artwork stills from the video installation.

Visions of 2034 is currently showing at 180 Studios until July 26, transforming the venue's underground spaces into an immersive world of 10 multimedia works — seven new short films, a new sound installation, and unseen footage from the Gener8ion archive. Collaborators across the project include Yung Lean, Yannis from Foals, Charlize Theron, and choreographer Damien Jalet.

Surkin has been a central figure in French electronic music since the mid-2000s, releasing remixes of the likes of Justice, Kavinsky and DJ Mehdi and collaborating with M.I.A. Gavras, meanwhile, has directed some of the defining music videos of the past two decades for M.I.A., Justice, Jay-Z and Kanye West, and Jamie xx.
The Neo Surf extended record is limited to 500 copies and priced at £20. Available now via The Vinyl Factory shop.
