In this instalment of Listening Room, DJ, producer, promoter and radio host Giles Smith walks through the career of Larry Heard, aka Mr. Fingers, spanning his earliest tracks from 1985 right up to the record he put out on the day the session took place.

Smith talks through how Heard found his way into production with a Roland Jupiter-6 and TR-707, the making of "Mystery of Love," the formation of Fingers Inc. alongside vocalists Robert Owens and Ron Wilson, his major label spell with MCA, and the later run of instrumental, cosmic-tinged albums, touching along the way on the threads of love, science fiction and spirituality that run through Heard's catalogue.
