His band Fushitsusha will also reunite.

Japanese guitarist and avant-garde icon Keiji Haino’s 1981 debut album Watashi Dake? will receive its first vinyl reissue ever as the inaugural release of Black Editions.

Black Editions began last year with the intention of reissuing the catalog of legendary Japanese label P.S.F. Records, working with label founder Hideo Ikeezumi before his death this February.

One of P.S.F.’s most iconic releases, Haino’s Watashi Dake? kicked off his long and respected career in noise and experimental music. The record will be released in a gold & silver printed edition, the design that Haino always envisioned for the album. It will also include the first-ever English translation of the album’s lyrics.

To celebrate the announcement Haino will perform with his old band Fushitsusha at events this July at New York’s Pioneer Works and Los Angeles’s Zebulon.
