Don’t miss this unique vinyl-only EP by critically-acclaimed saxophonist, composer, and activist Isaiah Collier and rising drummer Tim Regis, recorded Live in the Listening Room in collaboration with The Vinyl Factory. The limited edition 500-pressing exclusive is available to pre-order now and will begin shipping on September 24.

Recorded on 30 January 2025 inside Devon Turnbull (OJAS)’ Hi-Fi Listening Room Dream No.1 at 180 Studios, London, the EP captures a completely improvised 26-minute performance across three dynamic tracks.

  • Side A: "Pacing (Devon’s Room)" — a fiery opener showcasing Collier’s commanding intensity and Regis’ relentless dynamism.

  • Side B: "2nd Genesis" — textured and exploratory, opening with Regis’ drum solo before building into soaring, controlled energy.

  • Side B: "Den of Iniquity (Orange Satan) (Beelzebub)" — a layered, hypnotic finale, blending sax loops, effects, and fierce improvisation.

Collier initially connected with Turnbull after Turnbull had been a fan of his work on his mentor and fellow Chicago musician, Kahil El’Zabar’s 2022 record, A Time for Healing. Since then, Collier has performed at Turnbull’s OJAS Listening Rooms in Chelsea, Brooklyn, San Francisco, and most recently, the recording encapsulating the performance at 180 Studios in London.

About Isaiah Collier
Isaiah Collier is a Chicago native, born and raised on the city’s South Side. A composer, arranger, educator, and self-described “Sonic Scientist,” Collier has emerged as one of the most exciting voices in contemporary jazz. DownBeat Magazine has hailed him as “The Next Sax Giant”—a title befitting an artist who continues to reshape the sonic landscape of modern jazz.

Collier is known for his relentless pursuit of blending the rich traditions of the past with the urgency of the present to forge the sound of the future. Described as a maverick of creative and improvisational force, he has collaborated with jazz luminaries such as Kahil El’Zabar, Marshall Allen, Denardo Coleman (son of free jazz pioneer Ornette Coleman) and Makaya McCraven. He is also widely known for his powerful ensemble, The Chosen Few.
